In Germany, modular construction is now considered a cost-effective alternative for more than just temporary use, especially when projects need to be realized in a short amount of time. Our Chinese team, led by Philippe Le Fort, investigated this topic for the Chinese market. Among other things, they found a solution for expanding the office in Shanghai with building modules made from reused shipping containers – which are widely available in a port city like Shanghai.
