For a new building zone to be developed in Haikou, the capital city of the Chinese island of Hainan, the planning team in Shanghai – led by Philippe Le Fort – created development studies that could be used as a basis for a development plan. The traffic conditions, and especially the daylight and sun exposure studies, resulted in exciting solutions.
